Synopsis:

A novel, funny, seductive, wild and rousing like a jazz composition. It becomes turbulent in a train on the way to London: a lady fainted out of boredom is rescued by a son from noble house by mouth-to-mouth ventilation - stupid only that this young man named Henry had only posed himself as a doctor. ! The scandal resulting from this matter leads to the violation of the young man. He settles to Paris, founds »Lord Punch's Jazz Band« and beats through as a musician. In Paris, he soon meets a girl, the dancer baby, who falls head over heels in love with him. Everything would be good, he could only forget the young lady from the train and did not look for him for him for good love reason. The colourful company of the night venues, dancers, musicians and imposters, the whole lovely mischief scurries past us. Hans Janowitz draws an impressive picture of time, society and torn life in the late 20th century with »Jazz« - chaotic, idiotic, and numbing.
