Illustrated throughout with sepia lithographs, this is a lovely edition of this ballad from Richard Barham, published under his popular pseudonym, Thomas Ingoldsby.The amusing poem follows the story of a jackdaw who steals a cardinal's ring and is made a saint.Undated; dated c1889 via Jisc. In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Marks and light spotting to rear wrap, otherwise externally excellent. Internally, firmly bound.
