🚫 Is your Java application suffering from memory leaks, garbage collection pauses, or unexplained performance bottlenecks?
⚠️ If you've been struggling with production outages, cryptic JVM errors, skyrocketing cloud costs, and applications that can't scale under load, you're not alone.
➡️ That's why I wrote "JVM Performance Catalyst"—your complete guide to tuning, troubleshooting, and scaling Java applications. This isn't theory—it's your practical playbook for solving real production problems.
✅ The good news? JVM performance optimization doesn't have to be complicated. With the right knowledge, you can diagnose issues faster, tune applications for maximum throughput, and build systems that handle millions of requests.
➡️ "JVM Performance Catalyst" is your complete guide to tuning, troubleshooting, and scaling Java applications. This isn't theory—it's your practical playbook for solving real production problems.
🚀 What you'll master:
🏗️ JVM Architecture – HotSpot VM internals, class loading, bytecode execution, and execution engine.
🧠 Memory Management – Heap structure, object allocation, TLABs, and memory leak prevention.
🗑️ Garbage Collection – Serial, Parallel, CMS, G1 GC, ZGC, and Shenandoah. Why G1 became default and how ZGC achieves sub-10ms pause times.
⚙️ GC Tuning – Balance throughput, latency, and memory footprint. Strategies that reduced memory usage by 15% and improved CPU efficiency by 20%.
🚀 JIT Compilation – Tiered compilation, inlining, escape analysis, and avoiding deoptimization cliffs.
📊 Monitoring & Profiling – JFR, JMC, VisualVM, flame graphs, allocation tracking, and thread analysis.
🔥 Production Troubleshooting – Emergency guide for high CPU/memory, OutOfMemoryError, thread dumps, and heap analysis.
🧵 Concurrency & Threading – Java Memory Model, lock contention elimination, and Virtual Threads allowing millions of lightweight threads.
📈 Application Performance – String handling, Collections, NIO, async I/O, and serialization optimization.
⚡ GraalVM & Native Image – AOT-compiled binaries with faster startup and lower memory footprint.
☁️ Cloud-Native Optimization – Container-aware settings, Kubernetes sizing, and cost optimization.
📚 WHO SHOULD READ THIS?
✅ Java Developers ✅ DevOps Engineers ✅ Software Architects ✅ SREs ✅ Performance Engineers ✅ Team Leads ✅ CS Students ✅ Bootcamp Grads
Even beginners can follow along with clear explanations and practical examples.
💡 WHY THIS BOOK IS DIFFERENT:
📌 2024-2025 Current – Latest Virtual Threads, GraalVM JDK 24, modern GC algorithms
📌 Real Case Studies – Actual production improvements
📌 Zero Fluff – Every page actionable
📌 Code-Heavy – 24 intensive + 28 moderate code examples
🎯 INDUSTRY REALITY:
Virtual Threads became permanent in JDK 21—millions of threads with only hundreds of bytes each. ZGC achieves sub-10ms pause times. GraalVM Native Image compiles to binaries using fraction of JVM resources. These are production-ready NOW.
