An extensive report of a tour organised by the Cornwall branch to highlight the importance and potential of Cornwall's industries. Includes a visit to Holman's Engineering works, the Williams shaft at Dolcoath, the China Clay works at Lanhyrock and Redmoor, St. Michael's Mount, St. Ives Consolidated Mines, King Edward Mine, South Crofty Mine, Climax works. there are numerous photographs, also additionall papers on subjects discussed on the tour including details of mining operations throughout Cornwall with updates on their ownership, production, potential etc. Also papers on Bickford's Safety fuse by Sir George Smith and on Holman's engineering products also with illustrations. The frontispiece is of John Davies Enys who welcomed the visitors to the Royal Institute of Cornwall but was deceased by the time of the publication of the report. The cover has wear and a crease, the spine has been re-taped and the contents are good. Size 220mm. x 142mm.(8vo.). Pp.162 + errata. Seller Inventory # 003326
