A gorgeous pair of hardback books, both quarter-bound in leather, with matching leather corners, and lovely olive green coloured cloth bound sides. Gilt titles and gilt decoration on the spine. Both volumes one and two are in really good condition, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Small tear to base of the cloth (back board) on volume one, some wear from use is visible and tiny specs of spotting on blank back pages, only to be expected on books of this age and in all seriousness both books are in fabulous order for their age. Volume One has 120 pages and Volume Two has pages 121-263 plus index pages. All illustrations and text are in super good, clean order. These wonderful books would adorn any stylish library and are ideal for collectors of John Leech's work.
