Hardback octavo, dustjacket, very good condition (in good dustjacket), reverse side jacket foxed (spine faintly fased, minor edgewear), top edge lightly foxed. 297 pp. This biography by Daniel Cohen - the first to be published - tells the story of psychologist J. B. Watson, the founder of behaviorism. He covers his research on behaviourism in both psychology and advertising, and argues that his influence was profound and pervasive, but unfortunately sidelined the role of cognition.
