Add to basketIvan de WOESTYNE (1834 à Bruxelles-), journaliste, essayiste Lettre autographe signée adressée à lacteur Frédéric Febvre (1833-1916) de la Comédie Française. 4 pages in-4. 1894. Déchirures au plis horizontaux. Le journaliste demande laide de la Maison Rothschild Longue lettre sur la situation professionnelle et financière difficile dans laquelle le journaliste se trouve. Avec humour cependant, il décrit sa situation. Reprenant la formule : « Le journalisme conduit à tout, à condition den sortir, jamais, depuis le 24 septembre 1865 que je suis entré au Figaro, je nen suis sorti, donc je ne suis arrivé à rien quà une détresse qui chaque jour augmente ». Il précise quil a la tutelle dune enfant de 9 ans dont il a pris la charge. Sétant fâché avec Drumont (Edouard Drumont journaliste), il na pas retrouvé de travail, lui quon appelait « le Roi des reporters » et qui connaît toute lEurope. Il en appelé à Mézières (Alfred Mézières) de lAcadémie française et Hadrien Hébrard du Temps. « Ils nont pu me trouver du travail : je suis trop vieux ». « Quand est mort Magnard (Francis Magnard), je suis devenu le doyen du Figaro, avec Claretie (Jules Claretie) et Lockroy (Edouard Lockroy) ». Ni lun, ni lautre, et il décrit ce quils lui ont fait, nont pu faire bouger sa situation. Sur les deux autres pages, il rapporte à Frédéric Febvre, les termes dune rencontre fortuite avec Sardou (Victorien Sardou) au cours de laquelle, Sardou qui lui donne de largent et se propose de laider « Que puis-je encore pour vous, dites, je le ferai ». Cest alors quil évoque des sommes dargent quil aurait reçues à deux reprises au cours de sa vie du baron de Rothschild sans quil ne le demande. Et cest pourquoi, il a essayé, explique-t-il à Sardou, de reprendre contact avec la famille Rothschild mais en vain. Il a donc demandé à Victorien Sardou détablir de faire le nécessaire et demande dans cette lettre à son ami lacteur Frédéric Febvre, « Vous qui êtes dans la maison () voulez-vous aller chercher la réponse en frappant au cur de la Baronne ? ».

You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or Christophe DORNY, 1 Square de Verdun, 75010, Paris, France, +33 0616052982, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
