Island Years by F Fraser Darling, with many fine photographs by the author. Published by G Bell and sons Ltd., 1944, first edition. Hard cover with dustwrapper which is in good condition with a few small tears to edges and corners; one bigger tear at back. Not price clipped. Beige cloth binding with brown title and illustration to spine. In good condition with bumped corners and top and bottom of spine. No inscriptions etc and contents are fine. 'Island Years' is the story of the life which Dr Darling and his family, like a modern Swiss Family Robinson, have lived on the lonely, uninhabited Scottish islands to which his study of seals and birds has taken them.
