He was raised to enforce. She was raised to disappear behind a smile. Neither of them was supposed to find the other.
Camilla Mancini has spent her whole life being the useful daughter - the careful one, the methodical one, the one who keeps her voice level when the room demands a woman who will not break. While her family fights its war, she's been quietly chasing a different ghost: the truth about her mother's death, and the name buried inside it.
Luca Valenti is the last man she should be working with. The Valenti enforcer. Her brother's enemy. The man whose family her family is preparing to destroy.
But the evidence is leading both of them to the same place. The same buried name. The same twenty-three-year-old lie. And when a city-wide threat forces them into a single safe house with one couch, two doors, and seventy-two hours to wait for proof neither of them is ready to face - the war between their families becomes the smallest thing in the room.
He sees the underneath. She has spent her entire life making sure no one could.
The veil is starting to come off.
Iron Veil is the third book in the Sovereign Sin series - a slow-burn dark mafia romance of forced proximity, dangerous loyalty, and a woman who has spent her life behind composure learning what it costs to let someone see her without it.
