Paperback. The seal is failing. The thing beneath the arena is waking. And the only people standing in its way are eight killers who thought they were done fighting. The Iron Pit takes everything. Your dignity. Your mercy. Your name. Stone survived it for forty-three years. He doesn't remember his real name, why he never ages, or whose voice keeps saying that name in his dreams. He only knows how to hold a line. When eight gladiators buy their freedom and a crumbling castle on the edge of the Darkwood, they think the killing is finally behind them. But something starts whispering behind the sealed door in the cellar, creatures come out of the trees. Then the countdown starts. Fourteen days until the seal breaks. Fourteen days for a berserker terrified of his own rage, a priestess whose god stopped answering, a pyromancer with an orphanage on her conscience, and a coward who accidentally bought a castle with a monster in the basement to become the one thing none of them have ever been. A family. The Hunger has waited three hundred years. It remembers what the world forgot. And it knows all their names. Perfect for readers of Joe Abercrombie and John Gwynne, and anyone who likes their found family bloody, their humor black, and their walls worth dying for. The Iron Pit: The Wall is the first novel in a new grimdark series. No clean heroes. No easy answers. No wasted deaths. This item is printed on demand.
