The book Iridescence of Literary Paradigms is compiled not on the fringes of any rigid area of categorization. In one sense this is the ‘Muse with Cause’-- contributors responded to diverse themes namely ELT, Eco-Linguistics, Performance Studies, Media Studies, Cultural Studies, Discourse Analysis, Feminism, Eco-Critical Studies etc.… which emerged as specialized branches in our discipline. The total range of this collection is very wide and the modes of expression varied.

Contributors have given free play to their research temperament to enrich it by adding their own robust and valuable contributions. The collection reflects the pull of the past and the pressure of the present, the force of both of which are inescapable ought to be reconciled in a neat and tidy manner-- when a truly creative mind is tested. A scholar who is sharp and clear in his vision will naturally see the future in the making and reconcile with the two to meet the emerging challenges in the research realm of language and literature.

The birthmark of ‘Free Thinking’ is evident in almost all compositions of this collection. The collection proves that the contributors are rendering great service to the development of the research field and to the contemporary literary scenario. I earnestly hope that this pioneering venture will yield enduring benefits to the cause of nurturing and sustaining the realms of English language and literary studies.
