Genealogical Publishing Company, Baltimore, MD. 1999. Hardcover. Reprint Edition. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: As New. No DJ. Green buckram boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine and front board. 530 pp 8vo. The earliest census for all of Ireland is for the year 1901. For earlier years census information is extant for very limited areas of the country, due in part to the loss of records in the fire of 1922 at the Public REcord Office in Dublin. From various sources- LDS History Center, National Archives, and Old Age Pension abstracts. Thus only a fraction of the population is covered by these records and when using secondary information like this, inaccuracies can occur. A clean very presentable copy.
