An Introduction to the New Testament. By Friedrich Bleek and printed in Edinburgh by T. & T. Clark. 1879. [14] + 448 and [12] + 426 pp. 8.75” x 5.75”. 8vo. Hardcover full leather. In good condition, with light scuffing along edges and corners of boards. Some superficial loss to leather and labels on spines. Light starting and wear to hinges, particularly at front of Volume I. Text blocks remain bound well. Include University of Glasgow bookplates on front pastedown of Volume I. University label additional stamped in gilt onto front boards. Marbled edges to pages. Light markings. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and nicely preserved pair of volumes. Includes 1882 University of Glasgow presentation bookplate to William Stewart from Richard Simpson.
