Robert Hamilton (1743-1829) was Professor of Philosophy and Mathematics at Marischal College in Aberdeen, Scotland. He is reknown for several publications as Inquiry Concerning the Rise and Progress, the Reduction and Present State, and the Management of the National Debt of Great Britain and Ireland (1813).
