The book contains the description and evaluation of validity of evolutionary integral theory and praxis of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother's (Sri Auromere's) psychology in the background of the partial knowledge of scientific psychology, which, in fact deserves the name "mentology" and not the name "psychology", for, the scientific psychology studies only mental consciousness, rather only part of mind, with only rational methods of research, while integral psychology studies all parts of human being (mental-vital-physical, Psychic, spiritual, supramental and universal consciousness of man) and employs rational as well as super-rational methods of knowledge.
This study report describes the genesis of the universe, earth, living beings and the human species through the Natural (Prakritik) process of involution and evolution. Evolution has been explained in the light of phenomena of ten incarnations on earth.
It identifies three types of heredity and eleven types of environments that determine the evolutionary development of man in the universe. It delineates developmental goals, principles and processes of consciousness evolution of normal as well as abnormal behaviors of man and man's environmental worlds and describes (as models to be followed for integral studies in other fields of study) what type of organizational environment should be created in a school and a hotel to help man and the society to evolve into spiritual and supramental consciousness, the ultimate stage of evolution. It provides a complete description of the ongoing experiment of creation of educational environment in Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education with evaluation of the success achieved. Likert-type rating scale had been constructed by the author for this evaluation. The author has also shown the paramount importance of integral psychology for individual, social, national, international and universal ultimate evolutionary transformation.
