This book focused specifically on the newly emerging issues related to the development of green science/technology, and green economy toward Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It covers three parts, namely (1) socioeconomic science, (2) environmental science, and (3) development of green technology and economy, each consisting of five to six chapters.
The topics covered are meant not only to introduce the basic concepts of green science and technology related to the development of green economy, but also address the challenges, policy instruments, international initiatives and prospective and perspective. More importantly, it presents several innovative idea, indicators and methodologies regarding the measurement of industrial transformation, resource efficiency, green competitiveness, and green trade. To facilitate research innovation/integration and meet the needs for comprehensive education on sustainable development, the book covers a wide range of sectors of major concern in the development of green technology and economy, including green energy, green transportation, green building, green agriculture, and green tourism. Professor Chiang began engaging in teaching and research activities in National Taiwan University since he obtained Ph.D. degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, Purdue University, USA in 1982. He is Distinguished Professor of Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering and Director of Carbon Cycle Research Center of National Taiwan University. He is known for his work in physicochemical treatment such as carbon adsorption, membrane, and ozonation processes. In addition, he was also devoted to his teaching and research in the area of carbon capture technology, air pollution control design, and cleaner production technology. He has published more than 300 paper papers in the above area of environmental engineering. He has received numerous awards for research achievements.
Professor Hwong-wen Ma teaches at the Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering (GIEE), National Taiwan University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree at the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a major in environmental management and policy. He had served as Chair of Environmental Planning and Management Committee, Chinese Institute of Environmental Engineering (CIEE), Secretary-General of CIEE, and Director of GIEE. His research focuses on the development of integrated environmental assessment methods, which involve the combination of tools including risk assessment, material flow analysis, life cycle assessment, and economic analysis. The methods are applied to strategic environmental assessment, circular economy, sustainable city, and deep decarbonization. He also works with the public and private sectors to promote cross-sector collaboration for depicting the sustainable transformation pathways.
Dr. Lih-Chyi Wen is currently Director of Center for Green Economy in Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research. She is Environmental Economist and WTO Expert on the issues of trade and environment.She graduated from University of Connecticut in Economics with a Ph.D. degree. Previously, she was also Deputy Director of WTO Center, Research Fellow of International Division, and Director of the Green Trade Project Office in the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan. She has been devoting to promoting environmental policies, circular economy, and green finance not only in Taiwan but also worldwide. Through her career, she has served as many governmental committee members, including Economic Advisory Council of Electricity and Natural Gas Prices in Ministry of Economic Affairs, Resource and Recycling Fee Rate Review Committee, Green Mark International Cooperation Advisory Council, Environmental Quality Advisory Committee in Environmental Protection Agency, etc.
Dr. Chun-Hsu Lin is Research Fellow and Deputy Director of the Center for Green Economy (CGE), Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) in Taipei, Taiwan. Before joining the CIER in 2005, he was Associate Researcher with the Institute of Environment and Resources in Taipei. Recent and concurrent research topics are more focused on the issues of resource recycling systems, soil and water pollution abatement systems, green trade, green industry development, and circular economy. From 2011 to 2016, he also served as Secretary-General of the Green Trade Project Office under the Ministry of Economic Ministry to promote the trade and exchange of green products and services internationally. He received his degree of Ph.D. in Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences from Washington State University, USA, in 2001. He devotes himself to the dialogue and interconnection among governments, industries and academia, domestically and internationally, for a sustainable global society.

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to moluna, Greven, Germany, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
