The boards are firm, flat and quite clean; Library sticker to front cover and faded white numbers to spine. Tanned free end papers; library sticker and ticket pouch and booking out sheet on the front end papers. Slightly tanned cut edges. The text block is tight, straight and unmarked - very good condition. With many b/w photos and diagrams. Indented stamp to title page; no further stamps etc from library. The pages have slight warp mostly to top edge. No dedications etc. Without jacket.

The Bookshop Co-operative comprises nearly 650 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town.
