How to know if the Machine be in good Order for performing the Experiment, and how to put it in order if it be not. V. How to make the Electrical Experiments, and to preserve Buildings from Damage by Lightning. VI. Medical Electricity. V/Experiment XII : A clock put in Motion by Electricity V/Experiment XVI : A model of a triple Pump-mill (for rasing Water by the Force of the Win) put into Motion by Electricity. The plates illustrated his globe electrical machine, with three large Leyden Phials, his electrically operated mill, clock and orrery models, as well as a electrical triple pump. The final section describes several curious experiments with medical electricity, including one where he himself went to Mr. Adlam with a sore throat, where the medical electrician applied electrical sparks to his throat over the course of a couple hours, and he felt cured.
