Paperback. "If you haven't begun discussing intimacy and sex with your children, keep in mind that the world already has."This book synthesizes insights from Dr. Vernon King Jr.'s seventeen years of experience in pastoral leadership and counseling with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families to examine patterns of intimacy and sexual development. Drawing on data collected through sexual behavior programs, purity initiatives, surveys, and focus groups conducted with Millennials, Generation Z, and Generation Alpha, Dr. King and his research team analyze emerging trends and propose evidence-based strategies to support parents in initiating and sustaining effective, developmentally appropriate conversations about sex and relationships. As children's exposure to sexual content increases, understanding when and how to have "the talk" is more crucial than ever. This book equips parents with the guidance and confidence they need to start these important conversations. The depth and timing of these discussions have evolved over time, as children today encounter sexual content at younger ages. While every family's approach will look different, it's essential that the conversation doesn't go unaddressed. The good news is that this book offers practical insights and tools to help you begin navigating these discussions with your children. This item is printed on demand.
