Synopsis:

WHO has been propagating the use of intermittent supervised treatment for all cases including children with tuberculosis. We do the study to evaluate the efficacy of intermittent TB chemotherapy compared to daily short course in Kosti teaching hospital- White Nile State. Total of 275 patients males were 55% and females were females. Most of tuberculous are young, 63% of males and 72.5% of females were <45 years old of age. The study revealed that 29% of males are cigarettes smokers and 7.9% of them are SHISHA (Water pipe) smokers.
