The System gave everyone a class. It gave Sam Brandt the one nobody wanted.
On Integration day every person on Earth gets a class. The lucky ones become fire mages, berserkers, and rangers. They kill monsters, take the loot, and build gangs that take what they want.
Sam Brandt gets Combat Medic.
It is a healing class. The class the gangs laugh at. The class no one recruits. It levels by keeping people alive instead of killing.
What no one figures out until it is too late is this. In an apocalypse full of wounded, the System pays the people who save them. And it pays a lot.
Sam is 34, an EMT and ex army combat medic with a bad shoulder. He is not a chosen one. He is the guy who refuses to let people die. When the street cracks open outside his station, he saves the stray dog that gets mauled, drags strangers to cover, and turns one city block into the only place in Meridian where normal people can sleep without fear.
Then the warlords come to take it. And his own sister joins the gang that wants to rule the ruins.
Book 1 of Combat Medic Sam. A straightforward, fast LitRPG progression with a clever healing build, clear levels and loot, and a settlement you will want to hold.
