Integrating Draping, Drafting, and Drawing teaches these three techniques of creating apparel designs the way they are practiced in the industry, that is, by integrating them throughout the creative process. This handy studio reference helps students develop their skills and apply them to the design of garments. In each chapter, illustrations and photographs show a combination of skills and the natural flow between them, and the text completes the explanation with an explanation of the details. Two-dimensional design informs the three-dimensional and vise versa. Draping is presented visually in step-by-step photographs to allow students to see its sculptural nature clearly.
