A former President of the Interdivisional Group of Biomaterials (G.I.B.) of the Italian Chemical Society, he is an accomplished chemist and biomaterials scientist, with 5 patents and more than 250 publications to his credit. He has a deep interest in the integration and applications of biomaterials within this growing field spanning medicine, biology, chemistry, and bioengineering.
