About the Author

Manfred H. Gey war Professor f�r Analytik an der Hochschule Zittau/G�rlitz. Seine Spezialisierung sind die Instrumentelle Analytik und Bioanalytik, wobei sein Fokus insbesondere in der Chromatographie (HPLC), Elektrophorese und Kopplungstechniken liegen, die er vor allem in der Lehre und in speziellen Praktika vertreten hat. Nach dem Studium der Chemie an der Universit�t Leipzig (1975) arbeitete er am Institut f�r Biotechnologie Leipzig (heute UFZ), an der Johannes-Gutenberg-Universit�t Mainz (1990–95) und an der Martin-Luther-Universit�t Halle-Wittenberg (1995–97).
