Quality softcover, 9 x 6 inches, xxii, 735 clean pages. This is a new book that has a bump to the top page corners, affecting some pages (see photos). A brilliant translation that brings the thoughts of Calvin to the reader that retains the vigorous force of the original. The 1541 French edition was issued expressly for Calvin's congregation, and has been thought to be more pastoral and personal in approach than the Latin.
