Staple bound 8vo. in printed wrappers. 63 pp. with extensive bibliography, index. Illustrated with photographs exhibiting various types of insect damage to books and the insects that make it. Monograph on the dangers of what are generally referred to as "bookworms", the insects that cause damage to bindings and text pages. These include the book louse, the silver-fish, cockroaches, the "drugstore beetle", white marked spider beetle, larder beetle, Mexican book beetle, moths, termites, white ants, etc. Each section describes the pests, their unusual habitats, what they feed on, and how to control or destroy them. Very good, wrapper edges toned and with a small edge chip.
