Paperback. Some debts cannot be paid in cash. Some files can never be closed.Erick Wight is a Fixer-a master of bureaucratic erasure who unwinds the state's cases against the city's most monstrous criminals. To Erick, every atrocity is merely an administrative anomaly waiting to be undone. He doesn't offer redemption; he offers the "undo."But when he is summoned into the shifting, fog-shrouded corridors of the Shadow Neighborhood, the rules of the system change. Guided by the iron-bound ledger of The Proctor, Erick must process three irredeemable clients through a gauntlet of quiet, visceral horror: George Watson: An accountant whose systemic fraud left entire municipal wards to rot, now face-to-face with an audit that dissolves bone into paper pulp.Nancy Omaha: A grandmotherly community organizer who poisoned soil with cadmium and lead, now harvesting crops of calcified salt and nightshade.Larry Luck: An unrepentant arsonist who burned families for insurance payouts, facing a room that ignites lungs from the inside out.As the walls bleed ink and floorboards yield to liquid paper, Erick discovers a terrifying truth: in a purgatory that feeds on guilt, no filing error goes uncorrected-and the final file in the ledger carries his own name.Insantium is a suffocating novella of psychological horror and non-Euclidean dread for fans of Silent Hill, dark fantasy, and atmospheric cosmic thrillers. Erick Wight is a fixer—a master of bureaucratic erasure who unwinds the state’s cases against the city’s most dangerous players. To Erick, every atrocity is merely an administrative anomaly waiting to be undone. He doesn't offer redemption; he offers the "undo."
But when he is summoned into the shifting, fog-shrouded corridors of the Shadow Neighborhood, the rules of the system change entirely. Guided by the iron-bound ledger of The Proctor, Erick must process three high-risk clients through a gauntlet of quiet, visceral dread—each facing a localized reckoning built from their own corrupt pasts.
As the walls bleed ink and floorboards yield to liquid paper, Erick discovers a terrifying truth: in a purgatory that feeds on guilt, every filing error must be accounted for—and the ledger is far from finished with him.
Insantium is a suffocating novella of psychological horror and non-Euclidean dread for readers who like their atmosphere heavy, surreal, and dark.
