He has been granted 15 patents and co-authored 2 monograph supported by National Publication Foundation.
Dr. Peng Gao, a Ph.D. in Mineral Processing Engineering of Northeastern University in 2011, professor and doctoral supervisor in 2020, National Youth Talent Program candidate, and National Key R & D Project chief scientist. He is currently Vice President of the College of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University, Deputy Director of National-local Joint Engineering Research Center of High-efficient exploitation technology for Refractory Iron Ore Resources, and Director of National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center. Served as a youth editorial board member and editorial board member of International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy and Materials, Journal of Central South University (Science and Technology), Metal Mine and other journals.
Dr. Gao is mainly engaged in the research on the theory and key technologies for the efficient development and utilization of national strategic metal mineral resources and has made many scientific research achievements in the frontier disciplines and engineering fields, such as the clean and efficient utilization of refractory polymetallic iron ore resources, the recycling of iron-containing solid waste and the new crushing and grinding methods. In recent five years, he has presided over more than 30 research projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and major development projects of enterprises.
Dr. Gao has published more than 100 academic papers and 3 monographs; authorized more than 40 international and national invention patents, and as the project leader and the backbone of the team to implement the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of more than 60 million yuan, at home and abroad to build several refractory iron ore resources hydrogen-based mineral phase transformation demonstration project. He has won one National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, three Provincial Science and Technology Awards, one Provincial Teaching Achievement First Prize, and Liaoning Youth Science and Technology Award.
Dr. Shuai Yuan is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor of mineral processing engineering in Northeastern University, and an assistant to the dean of the school of resources and civil engineering. Dr. Yuan received his Ph.D. degree in Mineral Processing Engineering and completed postdoctoral work in Materials Science and Engineering from Northeastern University. Dr. Yuan was selected into Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST.
