About the Authors: Leon VandeCreek, PhD, Senior Editor, is a licensed psychologist who is the past dean and current Professor in the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He has been awarded the Diplomate in Clinical Psychology and he is a Fellow of several divisions of the American Psychological Association. His interests include professional training and ethical/legal issues related to professional education and practice. Dr. VandeCreek has served as President of the PA Psychological Association, Chair of the APA Insurance Trust, Chair of the Board of Educational Affairs of the APA, and Treasurer of the Ohio Psychological Association. In 2005 he served as President of the Division of Psychotherapy of the APA. He has authored and coauthored about 150 professional presentations and publications, including 16 books. Since 1992, he has served as Senior Editor of the "Innovations in Clincial Practice: A Source Book" series, published by Professional Resource Press.Frederick L. Peterson, Jr., PsyD, is a health psychologist at the Veterans Healthcare System of Ohio, Dayton Campus, where he coordinates a Sexual Health Clinic and the Smoking Cessation Programs. Dr. Peterson is the Co-Director of the Psychology Internship Program. He completed postdoctorate training as a Clinical Fellow at the Masters and Johnson Institute. Research interests include sex therapy, tobacco use treatment, and the effects of masculinity-related personality factors on health. He holds three academic appointments at Wright State University, including the School of Medicine (Department of Psychiatry), the School of Professional Psychology, and the College of Education.Jill W. Bley, PhD, is a clinical psychologist. She is certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists as both a sex therapist and a supervisor. She taught sex therapy to graduate students in clinical psychology at the University of Cincinnati. During that time she trained and supervised many students. Dr. Bley wrote a syndicated column, "Speaking of Sex," which appeared in some downtown newspapers. Her columns addressed the diverse issues related to human sexuality. She is a founder of Women Helping Women/Rape Crisis Center and a Sex Therapy Clinic, both in Cincinnati. She has lectured extensively on topics of sexuality. Dr. Bley is a Volunteer Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
