In this thought-provoking and boundary-pushing work, Pollard-Wright explores some of the deepest, most enduring questions. What is reality? What role does science play in cognitive function?Where does spirituality fit into the puzzle? Using a combination of Buddhist teachings and current scientific theories, Pollard-Wright fuses spirituality and science to explain that reality isn't "out there." It's observed and experienced through an internal concept she calls "the Inhabiter." You don't need a PhD in science or philosophy to enjoy this work, though. Pollard-Wright distills her research into easy-to-understand text and illustrations, making it accessible even for novices. About the Author
Holly Marie Pollard-Wright’s interest in the nature of reality began when she was only eight years old. When she attended veterinarian school many years later, she began her more intensive and formal study of neuroscience.
What she discovered through scientific research confirmed her early impressions of the relationship between reality, the brain, and consciousness. The Inhabiter: A Journey into the Nature of Reality is the first in a series dealing with this question of how we create and perceive reality.
Pollard-Wright is married to Mark, an MD and neuropsychiatrist. They have one son, Benny.
