Paperback. The role of libraries has changed dramatically in an era of extraordinary information flow and rapid technology breakthroughs. Information literacy has become a crucial idea in contemporary education and society advancement, particularly in the context of the expanding knowledge economy. The goal of this book is to examine these important nexus points and offer a thorough manual for information professionals, educators and librarians in Nigeria. This book discusses the particular difficulties and chances that Nigerian libraries confront and provides information on how these establishments might use information literacy to promote social advancement and economic growth. We hope to offer a road map for Nigerian libraries to become important players in the knowledge economy by looking at international best practices and adapting them to local conditions. Authors start by examining the broad technical ideas, such as digital literacy, media literacy, and data literacy, that constitute the foundation of information literacy.
