C. Kathiresan is a Project Manager of 'India Development Gateway (InDG)', a national level ICT initiative focusing on empowerment of rural India, supported by Department of Information Technology, Government of India and being implemented by the Hyderabad unit of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). Dr. Kathiresan has specialization in planning and executing of projects in the area of ICT for Rural Development, Content Management Systems, designing ICT based products and capacity building. He has done Ph.D in Agriculture from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India and has vast experience in implementing agriculture projects at grassroot level before venturing into the field of ICT for Development.
T. Indra Devi is currently pursuing M.Tech in Embedded Systems Technology in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Kalasilingam University, Krishnankoil, Tamil Nadu, India. She was a Project Fellow, 'e-Arik (e-Agriculture): ICTs for Agricultural Extension' Project during 2007 to 2009 in the Central Agricultural University, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh State. The e-Arik project was awarded National level 'Best e-Governed Project- Special Jury Award 2008' by the Computer Society of India (CSI) - Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2007-08. She is basically B.E Graduate specialized in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University affiliated College, Tamil Nadu, India. She has expertise in web designing, data base creation, graphics and multimedia development. She prepared number of farmer participatory multimedia CDs for advanced farm information dissemination among the farmers.
