Review
Information systems have become the driving force for change in logistics and transportation. This book provides a guide and a blueprint for the significant transformations that are now underway in these important arenas.
Dirk Goedhart, Philips International B.V
This book covers many angles of information technology, well worthwhile to go through. I'm sure there is something that will trigger you towards the improvement you seek.
Nathalie Fabbe-Costes, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven
The combination of academicals' and professionals point of view and the reference to different kinds and different parts of logistics chains offer a really broad perspective that is very stimulating
Amelia C. Regan
This book's goal is to depict state-of-the-art information systems in logistics and transportation. It succeeds in presenting a set of well-written, interesting and largely well connected essays of broad interest. The book is divided into two parts. The papers in the first part will be of particular interest to those conducting research on information technology and logistics. The second part will appeal to academics and practitioners alike, and is well suited to assigned reading in many university courses.
Information Systems in Logistics and Transportation makes many interesting points, and provides timely and forward-thinking examples of the state-of-the-art in information systems in logistics and transportation. Despite the short shelf life of books on this topic, this volume may be of interest for several years to come.
