This is a gun book. It is not simply a book of war stories, it is sixty-five interviews with soldiers and Marines who relate their experiences with US infantry weapons in combat during World War II and Korea. Each man had his own opinion on the weapon that he had used and relates those observations to the reader. The differing opinions of these men are fascinating. One man loved the M1 rifle and hated the M1 carbine, while the next loved the M1 carbine and hated the M1 rifle. Much of what collectors and history buffs think we know about the use of US infantry weapons in combat has been derived from movies and books. Some movies, like 'Bank of Brothers' are very accurate, others are not. The general history books rarely contain in-depth details of firearms usage. The stories about US infantry weapons contained in this book are the real hands-on experiences of the men who actually used them for their intended purposes. When I first read these interviews, I could not put the manuscript down.' - Scott Duff 6 X 9 inches, softcover, photos, illus, 237 pages.…

Store description
"Gun Books, and other titles for those who value freedom" We're a small family run firearm reference publishing company, and retailer. You can expect good old fashioned customer service and packaging that is second to none. G.S.B. stands for Gun Show Books, and that's how we started well over 30 years ago. First we sold at Gun Shows, then (before the internet came along) we started selling mail order firearm reference by catalog. In 1998 we launched our first independent web-site. Today we no longer go to gun shows but instead sell mail-order only through our two websites, and all the other venues like eBay, Amazon, and Abebooks. We're fairly knowledgeable about the books we sell, and firearms in general. You can email us with questions about our books, and though we can't guarantee we'll have an answer for you, we can guarantee you'll get a response, and your orders will always be filled promptly and get the personal attention that everyone deserves. Best Regards Bruce & Lori Rukstales G.S.B. Publishing…
