Print on Demand. This book delves into the ancient history and culture of the Greek city of Locri, exploring the significance of its prominent aristocratic families. The author examines the political and social dynamics of Locri, shedding light on the often-overlooked role of these families in shaping the city's destiny. Through a detailed analysis of inscriptions, literary sources, and archaeological evidence, the book explores the origins, power structures, and cultural practices of Locri's aristocracy. It also delves into the complex relationship between these families and the broader Greek world, particularly in the context of the Peloponnesian War. By placing Locri's aristocracy within the wider framework of ancient Greek history, this book offers valuable insights into the nature of power, privilege, and social identity in the ancient world. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

Nam vates Apollinis, quem in Theoxeniis Delphicis (a. Mommsen, Delphica p. 802) ad epulas Apollo praeco num voce vocabat: ttivòapoc; ènì rò òeînvov Td) 6611) (eustath. Vit. Find. Ap. Westerm. Biogr.
