Joseph Rossman's study of the psychology of invention and the creative process, examining the characteristics, motivations, working habits, and problem-solving approaches of inventors. The work considers invention as a psychological and industrial phenomenon and explores whether understanding the creative process can help stimulate and develop inventive ability. Originally published in 1931 as The Psychology of the Inventor, Rossman's study was substantially carried forward in this 1964 University Books edition under the title Industrial Creativity. Bibliographic sources identify the 1964 issue as the third edition. With an introduction by noted psychologist Gardner Murphy. Condition: Very Good in Good original dust jacket. Orange cloth hardcover appears sound with light shelf and edge wear. Binding remains firm and pages appear generally clean with expected age toning. Original pictorial dust jacket is present and substantially intact but shows considerable age toning and soiling, rubbing and handling wear, edge and corner wear, and several small chips and tears, particularly around the spine extremities and lower front corner. Jacket spine is toned with wear at head and tail. Rear panel shows general discoloration, rubbing, and edge wear. Please refer closely to photographs for condition.
