This edition presents a sequence of accessible experiments that build understanding through real demonstrations. Students examine how air pressure, flow, and buoyancy interact, using common materials and step‑by‑step instructions. The activities emphasize reasoning from observed effects and testing ideas with careful observations.
- Hands‑on experiments that illustrate air pressure, suction, and flow with simple setups
- Guided inferences and questions to connect results with physical principles
- Suggestions for variations and follow‑up activities to deepen understanding
- Emphasis on using inexpensive or everyday equipment to explore core concepts
Ideal for readers and students who want a practical, affordable way to learn basic physics through experimentation.

Product Description
The endless source of happiness which this gives is a heritage that Mrs. Shaw has believed will come always to all students who are introduced to the study of the earth by the natural method. The author's educational views were so fully in accord with her own, that she gave him perfect liberty in laying out the work in the Physical Science branches of nature study for pupils from twelve to eighteen years of age. The results reached have been such that many Of the best educator's of Boston and vicin ity have recommended and urged that the course be given a wider field of usefulness.
