Not ex-library. Very gently read. There is a red mark along bottom edge where the book would rest on the shelf. The spine is tight and smooth, the pages are clean and the corners are only slightly bumped. From About the Author: "Shilpa S. Dave' is an assistant professor of American Studies at Brandeis University and coeditor of East Main Street: Asian American Popular Culture. From the back cover: " A truly innovative use of "accents' as a methodological entry into understanding where South Asians are positioned within American and American popular culture. Persuasively argued and full of many sharp, insightful moments, Indian Accents will be invaluable to scholars of American studies, Asian American studies, ethnic studies, and media studies." Gita Rajan, coeditor of New Cosmopolitanisms: South Asians in the U.S. 191 pp. Shelf: B-1.
