Inside Cortex Castle lives Ian, the fastest reactor in the whole brain. When something exciting, surprising, or frustrating happens, Ian is the first to jump into action.
In Impulsive Ian and the Button Box, Ian discovers that moving too fast can sometimes cause problems. With guidance from his brainy friends, he learns about the magical Button Box, a tiny moment that gives the brain time to breathe, think, and choose a better response.
Through playful rhyme and imaginative storytelling, children learn that impulses happen quickly, but thoughtful choices grow stronger when we pause first.
Plus, every book includes bonus learning material: a Teacher and Parent Guide, kid-friendly explainers, discussion starters, hands-on visual activities, and curated resources, giving grown-ups simple, science-backed ways to keep the learning going long after the last page.
