Paperback. Improving Your Sportsmanship Through Catholic Teaching.and Common Sense Sports are bigger than ever. Our culture has told us that winning the game, earning the scholarship, and being the best is the ultimate aim of sports, but there is far more to gain. Sports are a distinct way to bring glory to God. The human person is God's masterpiece and the athletic arena is one place where that becomes clear. This is most obvious when sportsmanship is displayed and the game becomes a place to live out virtues such as discipline, honesty, and fortitude. Athletes, parents of athletes, fans, and coaches will find this book helpful in making sports a more meaningful experience for all who participate. Insight from our Catechism, the U.S. Catholic bishops, and our popes will help shape a new outlook on sport. Improving Your Sportsmanship Through Catholic Teaching.and Common Sense will inspire you to see sports in the light that God intended. This item is printed on demand.
