From the Publisher
In this inspirational collection, some of the sports world's best-known athletes and coaches share important lessons and insights on leadership, excellence, teamwork, and victory. Here are page after page of memorable quotes from Muhammad Ali, Yogi Berra, Nadia Comaneci, Chris Evert, Wayne Gretzky, Florence Griffith Joyner, Grant Hill, Bela Karolyi, Tara Lipinski, Mark McGwire, Mark Spitz, Steve Young and many more, all handwritten and signed on their personal stationery, and accompanied by a brief description of career highlights and biographical facts. This is pure inspiration, with the underlying message that it is not what you achieve that is important, but the underlying spirit in everything you attempt. *** All author proceeds support the athletes of the Special Olympics.*** Lorne A. Adrain is the author of The Most Important Thing I Know, and was a former President of the Rhode Island Special Olympics. He lives in Providence, Rhode Island, with his wife, novelist Ann Hood, and their three children.
