About the Author
Euis Amalia is a distinguished academic and researcher at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta, Indonesia, where she has made significant contributions to the field of social sciences, with a particular focus on social welfare, gender studies, and Islamic economics. Her work, often interwoven with the principles of Islam, explores the dynamics of social development, poverty alleviation, and women's empowerment within Indonesian society and beyond. Holding a prominent position in UIN Jakarta's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Professor Amalia has been pivotal in shaping the discourse on social justice and economic inclusivity from an Islamic perspective. Her research not only provides critical insights into the challenges faced by marginalized communities but also offers practical, faith-based solutions to address these issues, thereby bridging the gap between academic theory and societal needs. Professor Amalia's contributions to academia are not limited to her research; she is also a revered educator, mentor, and advocate for social change. Through her lectures, publications, and participation in national and international forums, she inspires students, scholars, and policymakers alike to engage in meaningful dialogues and actions that promote equity and compassion in accordance with Islamic teachings. Her leadership and dedication have established her as a respected voice in her field, making a lasting impact on the community and the next generation of social scientists.

He earned his bachelor's degree in 1988 from the Islamic University of Medina, KSA, a master’s degree in Islamic Studies from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan, in 1992, and another master’s degree in Comparative Religion from the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Pakistan, in 1994. He completed his PhD in Comparative Religion at IIUI in 2001. He is a co-founder of the Institute for the Study of Islamic Thought and Civilizations (INSISTS) in Jakarta and the Chief Editor of the International Journal of Umranic Studies (IJUS). With a deep commitment to the exploration of Islamic theology, philosophy, comparative religion, religious pluralism, and interfaith dialogue, Thoha's academic career is characterized by diligent study of Islamic texts and an active interest in their application to contemporary issues. He has authored numerous articles and books, illuminating the complexities of Islamic thought and advocating for a dialogue that transcends cultural and religious barriers to foster peace and understanding among diverse communities. As a professor, Thoha has mentored countless students, enriching their understanding of Islamic tradition and its significance in the modern era. Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
