Although we associate impeachment with U.S. presidents, it can pertain to government officials at the state or federal level. In addition, it exists in many countries around the world. In its entire history, the United States has impeached its president only three times, but some experts wonder if that number is likely to grow as the country and its leaders become more divided. Will impeachment be used as a political tool, and is the ensuing chaos worth it? The viewpoints in this volume examine impeachment, offer interpretations of the Founding Fathers' intentions, and question whether there is a better way.
