THE IMAGE MAKER (FAME & INFAMY, Book 1)
She makes famous men look untouchable.
He makes her forget how dangerous that is.
Isla Ryder is paid to control the story. In Manhattan and Hollywood, she turns scandal into strategy, ambition into art, and disastrous men into legends worth believing in. She knows how to read a room, soften a headline, bury a mistake, and keep herself at a safe distance from anything that might undo her.
Roman Lysander is Hollywood’s favorite beautiful disaster.
Brilliant, magnetic, and already half myth, Roman has built a career on charm, scandal, and a carefully curated façade that keeps the real man out of reach. Isla should know better than to look too long. Men like Roman are not love stories. They are liability, spectacle, and ruin dressed in a perfect face.
Then they collide.
Literally.
On a Malibu beach, running in opposite directions, Isla and Roman crash into each other hard enough to draw blood. What should be an accident becomes the beginning of a two-day unraveling: a professional challenge, a dangerous attraction, and a connection neither of them can explain, control, or safely ignore.
Roman needs a rebrand. Isla needs to keep her distance.
But the line between image and truth begins to blur. Isla sees the man beneath the mythology. Roman sees the woman behind the control. And what starts as strategy becomes something far more dangerous: fast, consuming, and impossible to undo.
Because in Hollywood, the story always belongs to someone.
Until love makes it personal.
The Image Maker begins Fame & Infamy, an addictive, emotionally intense one-couple saga about fame, power, secrets, obsession, and the kind of love that can make or destroy everything it touches.
Isla and Roman’s story continues across the FAME & INFAMY series and should be read in order.
