Paperback. The very best writing on Ignatian spirituality Building on the foundation of the original An Ignatian Spirituality Reader, this second volume offers a vibrant collection of essays that explores the relevance of St. Ignatius of Loyola to modern lives, communities, and institutions around the world. Drawing from a wide range of backgrounds that includes theologians, educators, artists, and social justice leaders and from a diverse spectrum of voices that includes Pope Francis, Arturo Sosa, SJ, Becky Eldredge, Maka Black Elk, and Eileen Burke-Sullivan, this book addresses urgent contemporary themes with the timelessness of the Ignatian point of view. Topics such as reconciliation, ecological care, antiracism, leadership, and discernment are discussed, focusing on the Universal Apostolic Preferences and the lived experiences of the clergy and lay people working within Jesuit and Ignatian communities. This volume is both an inspiration and a practical guide for those seeking to deepen their spiritual lives and engage meaningfully with the world. Whether you are a student, educator, minister, or seeker, An Ignatian Spirituality Reader: Volume II invites you into the dynamic and transformative journey of Ignatian spirituality, which is rooted in tradition, alive in practice, and responsive to the needs and the signs of the times.
