Iceworld by Hal Clement. Del Rey, 1977. First printing paperback in very good plus condition, appears unread, pages toned, light shelfwear to cover (see photos). In this classic science fiction novel, Hal Clements imagines a world where extreme temperatures and toxic conditions create an "iceworld" uninhabitable by humans but natural to alien lifeforms. Blending hard science with imaginative storytelling that contrasts human and alien worlds, raising questions about relativity, adaptation and survival.

Store description
My late wife and I spent a lot of time accumulating books, especially during COVID. With her gone, the books are a reminder of her. Hence, it's time for me to Turn the Page. Update: Please note I have recently moved to New Mexico (September 2026) where our chihuahua, Pedro, will no longer have to slog through snow and ice - the state where my beloved wife and his mommy lived before we met. Thank you for all your orders since opening this storefront!
