Are you tired of looking at complex motor control diagrams and wondering how all the pieces fit together?
Have you ever been called to troubleshoot a PLC, VFD, or motor control circuit and wished you had one practical resource that explained the entire system from the ground up?
If so, this handbook was written for you.
Whether you're an electrician, industrial maintenance technician, PLC programmer, automation engineer, engineering student, or plant supervisor, Integrated Motor Control Systems Handbook gives you the practical knowledge and real-world skills needed to understand, install, troubleshoot, program, and maintain today's industrial motor control systems with confidence. Rather than treating motors, PLCs, variable frequency drives, relay logic, sensors, and industrial networking as separate topics, this handbook shows how they work together as one complete automation system.
Inside this comprehensive handbook, you'll learn how to:
• Understand electric motors, industrial power systems, and NEC Article 430 motor branch-circuit design
• Apply electrical safety practices, Lockout/Tagout procedures, arc flash protection, and industry standards
• Design, read, and troubleshoot relay logic and magnetic motor starter circuits
• Select and commission reduced-voltage starters, soft starters, and variable frequency drives
• Build and program PLC systems using ladder logic, timers, counters, math instructions, sequencing, and data handling
• Configure PLC-to-VFD communication using modern industrial networks, including Modbus RTU and EtherNet/IP
• Design motor control centers, HMI systems, SCADA integration, industrial sensors, and control devices
• Diagnose electrical faults systematically using proven troubleshooting methods for motors, PLCs, VFDs, I/O systems, and communication networks
• Develop preventive maintenance programs that reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Improve motor efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and evaluate real-world cost savings through modern motor control strategies
Unlike many industrial automation books that focus on only one technology, this handbook presents motor control as a complete, integrated system. It bridges the gap between theory and practice, helping you understand not only how industrial equipment operates but also why it behaves the way it does. The result is greater confidence when installing equipment, commissioning new systems, diagnosing faults, optimizing performance, and maintaining critical industrial assets.
Whether you're preparing for a career in industrial automation, advancing your technical expertise, or looking for a trusted reference you'll rely on for years, Integrated Motor Control Systems Handbook is a valuable addition to your professional library.
Get your copy today and gain the practical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and confidence to master modern industrial motor control systems.
