In entrambi i tomi manca la carta geografica più volte ripiegata su se stessa. Due belle incisioni in nero in anteporta (una in ciascun volume). In appendice al tomo secondo è presente Essai sur les romans, consideres du coté moral (da pagine 253 del volume secondo). Formato: 13 x 20 cm circa. Pagine: XLIV + 290; 349. Stato di conservazione: leggere abrasioni sui margini del dorso ma, nel complesso, due ottimi esemplari. Si ricorda, come già detto in precedenza, che mancano le due carte geografiche (che sono state asportate dai due volumi). copertine in tutta pelle con cornicette floreali in oro sui piatti.
