Ex-library. An oversize hardcover book bound in green cloth boards with leather corners and a black cloth spine. Corners worn through to the cardboard. A few unobtrusive library marks inside. Color foldouts in July 18, October 10, and December 19 issues are splitting along numerous fold lines. Very large foldout of the city of Edinburgh (preceding July 25 issue) has some tears as well. Dark brown spot, about the size of a dime, penetrating through the November 28 and December 5 issues. Text itself is clean and binding is secure. Volume 53 of THE ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS, containing all issues from July 4 through December 26, 1868 (plus the December 19 Christmas supplement). Includes a nice full-page engraving of St. Teresa of Avila. Measures approx. 16" x 11.5". Seller Inventory # 175853
