The problem was never technical knowledge. The problem was always the process — or the complete lack of one.
This book is the phase-by-phase, step-by-step blueprint I wish I'd had at the start. It's not a dry code manual or a spec template dump. It's a practical, no-fluff guide written from real project experience to help ICT designers, RCDDs, project managers, and architects finally close the gap between a great design and a great result.
Inside you will find…
…The Assumed Ownership Trap — the single leadership vacuum that causes most ICT projects to fail before the first drawing is issued, and the exact moment you must step in and claim the process.
…The phase-by-phase deliverables blueprint — a crystal-clear breakdown of exactly what information belongs in SD, DD, and CD so you never again wonder what should be on the drawings or when it needs to be there.
…The Telecom Room Heat Load Calculation — the step-by-step math to size independent 24/7 cooling for your network rooms, so you never get the "everything overheated" call six months after handover.
…The Pre-Coordination Pathway Strategy — how to show up to the first trade coordination meeting with completed routing plans already overlaid on the RCP, so you win the ceiling space battle before it even starts.
…The Contractor-Proof CD Set Framework — the seven essential components of a construction document package that is legally sufficient, field-readable, and enforceable without you having to answer the same RFI twelve times.
…The Division 28 Integration System — including the door schedule, camera coverage math, fire alarm interface matrix, and sequence of operations narrative that keeps your security and life safety systems compliant and functional at final inspection.
…The Construction Administration Playbook — a phase-specific field observation and submittal review process that creates a factual, photographic record of compliance, so deficiencies get fixed before the punch list becomes a war.
…The Master Template Library — the twelve essential tools, from kickoff agendas to closeout checklists, that turn your hard-won project experience into a repeatable, scalable system that makes every future project faster and cleaner.
…The Senior-Level Ownership Mindset — how to transition from a technically competent designer to the recognized authority on every project team, the person who sets the rhythm, protects the design, and delivers a bulletproof result every single time.
This book will walk you through the entire project lifecycle — phase by phase, decision by decision — so you always know what to do next, what to document, and how to protect your design from the moment you pick up the project to the moment you hand over the closeout package.
It's written as an actionable guide, not a textbook. Every chapter ends with specific steps you can take immediately on your next project. Whether you're an RCDD with years of experience who's tired of watching good designs get destroyed in the field, or a designer who wants to stop guessing and start leading — this book will get you unstuck and moving forward with confidence.
If you want to deliver Division 27 and 28 projects that get built exactly as designed, without the costly field conflicts, the scope creep fights, or the embarrassing inspection failures… then click the ADD TO CART button, read the book, and see for yourself.
